Mushroom Buddies is a compact mushroom farm that sits near the entrance of Sprout Hub by City Sprouts at Henderson. Mushroom Buddies specialise in growing Pearl Oyster Mushrooms and are a social enterprise founded by e4pid (a local cooperative- Employment For Persons with Intellectual Disabilities).
The oyster mushrooms are fresh and have a light crunch depending on how you cook them. They can be eaten in soups and steamboats, or lightly stir-fried as a super healthy side dish. These mushrooms are naturally low in carbohydrates but high in nutrients like niacin, Vit B5, Folate, Iron, Potassium, and high in fibre as well- so you can have them often. They are not commonly found at retail supermarkets, so Mushroom Buddies has you covered!

Each pack of locally-grown-not-flown fresh Pearl Oyster mushrooms comes in at 150grams and costs S$4.50, and also supports the community striving to create job opportunities for people with special needs.

Delivery is free for orders of 20 packs (think healthy and novel Christmas presents, New Year gifts, Cheer packs) and delivery is also available at $10 for smaller quantities.
You can self-collect at 102 Henderson Road (and grab some ice coffee and lunch at Sprout Hub). They will need some time to arrange for the quantities and delivery dates needed, so as to send you the freshest mushrooms possible! Your understanding is much appreciated.
